The program is run by the First Nations Regional Adult Education Center of Kahnawake in collaboration with the Native Friendship Centre of Montreal.
Kanekó:ta classes take place at the Native Friendship Centre at 2001 St Laurent Blvd, Montreal, Quebec H2X 2T3.
The purpose of the program is to offer high-quality adult education services in the Tio’tia:ke/Montreal urban area.
Kanekó:ta provides essential support services for an urban Indigenous population who want to:
- Obtain a diploma of secondary studies
- Upgrade academic courses
- Qualify for semi-skilled trades
- Find employment opportunities
